Perform engineering duties in designing, testing, and certification of aircraft modifications for active winglets. Perform analysis, support testing, and prepare documentation for a range of flight sciences and structures disciplines, including analysis of static and dynamic aeroelastic flight loads, flight test validation of loads, and flutter analysis. Prepare aerodynamic databases for use in external loads and dynamics studies. Develop finite element models of aircraft structures. Coordinate with design groups, manufacturing, load and test groups, and others.
Requires a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Aerospace Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering; plus three years of work experience in: Aircraft static and dynamic flight loads analysis; aircraft aeroeleastic modeling; flutter analysis (including aeroservoelastic analysis); and using NX Nastran, Nastran DMAP programming language, and FEMAP software. Experience must include one year of work experience in analysis and documentation of EASA CS23 certification requirements. Experience may be gained concurrently.
