
Description
Senior Process (Chemical) Engineer – Primary duties include equipment sizing, heat and material balances preparation, PFD/P&ID development, working with clients to develop process design packages, leading other Process Engineers and guiding the efforts of a process design team for a project or series of projects. Experience with Process Simulation software is preferred. A minimum 10 years of experience in the chemical or refining industries is desired for this position. Candidates with less than 10 years will be considered. BSChE degree required. PE preferred but not mandatory.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with clients to understand and/or develop scope of work
- Communicate scope of project with other disciplines
- PFD Development with material and energy balances
- P&ID development
- Equipment process design specifications for vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, separation equipment, solid handling equipment, utility systems, etc.
- Hydraulic calculations
- Relief device sizing
- Collaboration with other disciplines and the client throughout project to assure project goals are met
- Ability to develop creative designs where needed
- Maintain schedule and cost throughout projects
- Peer review and checking of other engineer’s work
Requirements:
- BSChE
- Ability to work efficiently and driven to learn
- Ability to work independently
- Process simulation experience (ASPEN, HYSYS, or PetroSim)
- Refinery experience is a plus
- Locate in SW Indiana
- Must be authorized to work in the USA
